M165 Two-Part Welded Crane Rail Clip

The M165 is a two-part welded crane rail clip consisting of a replaceable clip top and a lower weldable forged steel base. The two components interlock, slide and tighten together to clamp the rail foot securely to the supporting structure. The base is welded to the beam or sole plate during installation.

The M165 is the largest welded clip in the range, designed for the heaviest crane rail profiles and the highest lateral load conditions. It is designed and performs as a friction connection and must be carefully tightened to the prescribed torque. It is typically specified for demanding applications including ports, steel plants, shipyards and heavy industrial facilities running A75 to A150 or MRS series crane rail.

The clip top incorporates a vulcanized synthetic pressure block for rail retention and load absorption. The modular pressure block can be replaced without replacing the entire clip top assembly.

A friction connection means the clip transfers lateral loads through clamping force between the clip components and the rail foot. What are MRS crane rail profiles?
MRS is a series of heavy crane rail profiles used predominantly in port and heavy industrial applications. Common MRS designations include MRS51, MRS67, MRS86 and MRS87, with the number broadly representing the head width in millimetres. MRS profiles are heavier and wider than standard A-series DIN 536 crane rail and are typically found on ship-to-shore cranes, container handling systems and other high-load port equipment.
