Crane Rail Hook Bolts

Crane rail hook bolts are used to secure rails to channels or directly onto a crane rail beam. They are usually threaded, allowing lateral adjustment in either direction, and come with hex nuts and lock washers for secure fastening.

When ordering, please specify the rail section, bolt diameter, and the size and weight of the supporting beam or channel so we can ensure the correct hook bolt configuration is supplied.

Crane Rail Welding & Installation

For high-duty runways, continuously welded crane rail eliminates bolted joints, the main source of wheel impact, joint wear and ongoing maintenance, giving smoother crane travel and a longer service life for rail, wheels and structure.

Crane rail is a high-carbon section and welding it is specialist work. Through our qualified welding and installation partners, Inform Rail can arrange aluminothermic welding of crane rail joints, carried out to qualified weld procedures by welders certified for the process, along with weld grinding and finishing.

The same network covers installation, including setting out and alignment, clip installation and torquing, sole plate grouting and closure welds on replacement works. Combined with supply from Brisbane and Cairns stock, your rail, fastenings, welding and installation can be quoted as a single package. Bowed fishplates can be supplied to hold temporary joints ahead of final welding on staged projects.
