The tool steps through a complete preliminary crane rail system design in four guided steps: from crane type and duty class through to rail profile selection, clip selection, engineering stress checks and a full bill of quantities. It applies dynamic load factors per AS 1418.1, calculates design horizontal forces and checks clip selection against published lateral resistance values.
Covering DIN 536 crane rail, JIS E 1101 light rail and AS/NZS 1085.1 standard rail, it is the most comprehensive free crane rail design resource available to Australian engineers.
