The 60kg is an active profile under AS1085.1-2002, one of only five profiles listed in the current standard. It is the second heaviest active profile in the range and suits demanding mainline, heavy industrial and crane runway applications where the 53kg is insufficient but the 68kg is not required. The designation refers to the approximate mass per metre of the rail section, and the profile is sometimes written 60 kg rail or 60kg/m rail.

Rail is supplied in standard lengths of 12.19m and 13.72m, with cut-to-length and drilling to your bolt pattern available prior to dispatch. Matched fastening systems including clips, fishplates, sole plates and rail pads can be supplied to suit the profile and substructure.
