Inform Rail supplies CR73 crane rail manufactured to special crane rail standard for heavy duty crane applications across Australia. The CR73 is a special crane rail profile outside the standard DIN 536 A-series range, designed for demanding applications including stacker reclaimers, steelworks cranes, port and wharf cranes and heavy mining infrastructure.

The CR73 has a distinctive cross-sectional geometry. The head is 140mm wide, broader than its 100mm foot, which is the reverse of the A-series profile geometry. This wide head design provides a larger contact surface for crane wheels operating under high loads. At 73.30 kg/m it is substantially heavier than the largest standard A-series profile. Matched fastening systems can be supplied to suit the profile and substructure.

The CR73 has a wider head (140mm) than foot (100mm), the opposite geometry to the A-series where the foot is always wider than the head. The CR73 is significantly heavier than the A120 (73.30 kg/m vs 100.0 kg/m for A120) and is suited to demanding applications in ports, steelworks and mining where the A-series range is not appropriate.
